| Annabel Beyra, APR Vice President of Operations and Partner Fusion Communications, Inc.
With more than 15 years of experience in the field of public relations, Annabel Beyra has led public relations programs for companies from a wide array of industries, including technology and consumer electronics, travel and tourism, healthcare, food and beverage and logistics and transportation. In 2005, Annabel Beyra was named a Heavy Hitter in Public Relations by the South Florida Business Journal for her work in creating strategic public relations campaigns that help companies “move the needle” and meet their communications goals.
The companies she’s led programs for include Palm Latin America, Canon Latin America, Yahoo!, Palm and DHL. Prior to joining Fusion Communications with her partner Julie Lugones, Beyra was Vice President of Public Relations at GrupoUno, a full-service marketing communications firm. Earlier in her career, Beyra led communications programs for Bacardi Imports, Inc. and AT&T Latin America while at Burson-Marsteller, the world’s fifth largest public relations firm.
She recently achieved her accreditation in public relations, a distinction that demonstrates her competency in the knowledge, skills and abilities required to practice public relations effectively in today’s business arena. Beyra is also a founding member of ITWomen, an organization dedicated to the advocacy and advancement of women across the technology career spectrum, and is a member of the American Red Cross Greater Miami Chapter’s marketing committee.
A proud member of Florida International University’s Alumni organization, Beyra holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Psychology.

| Julie Lugones Vice President of Client Services and Partner Fusion Communications, Inc.
With over 10 years in the field of communications, Julie brings extensive media relations experience in the consumer and high-technology market for the U.S. Hispanic and the Pan Latin American Region.
After several years in the agency and private corporate sector, she decided it was time to pursue new endeavors as a marketing communications agency entrepreneur. Lugones continues to provide executive consulting services to several local agencies in need of her expertise in U.S. Hispanic and Latin America.
Prior to pursuing her long time vision of being her own boss, she was director of communications for MasterCard Worldwide, Latin America and Caribbean division. While at MasterCard, she had the chance to work closely with the vice president of communications to fully integrate a new public relations network of agencies that would report directly to the regional headquarters in Miami, Florida.
Before joining MasterCard International, Julie was responsible for working closely with the vice president of communications at GrupoUno International, executing strategic marketing communications campaigns. Her client roster included Palm Latin America, Canon Latin America, Seagate, Yahoo! en español and Sony-Ericsson.
Julie also held different communications positions before working at GrupoUno International. She gained invaluable public relations experience executing U.S. Hispanic campaigns for Nestlé USA, Colgate-Palmolive and Merck Publishing Group. She also successfully coordinated media events for such clients as United Airlines, Apple Computer, Disney World on Ice, Bvlgari, Christofle and Miller Freeman Jewelry Couture Conference.
In addition, Julie had the opportunity to work on the media side as well, as a news writer for a local Fox affiliate TV station in Miami. Julie Lugones is a graduate of Florida International University. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and a minor in Marketing.

| Marilyn Rodriguez, Ph.D Research Director Fusion Communications, Inc.
Marilyn Rodriguez, Ph. D. has more than a decade of experience in social research and is a faculty member of the University of Miami’s psychology department teaching, among other things, research methodology courses.
Her experience with social research dates back 10 years with her initial involvement in the evaluation of the pilot for the federal government’s Healthy People 2000 program. While a graduate student at the George Washington University, she worked closely with personnel from the Office of Management and Budget in the design and execution of the evaluation of this program.
Since graduating and returning to Miami, she has continued in research consulting. Because of her continued involvement in academia, along with experience in the field, she can personally guarantee a sound methodological approach as well as an understanding of current research trends and survey needs particular to the diverse population of South Florida.
Whether as an independent consultant or as part of a research team, she has worked with a number of clients in both the private and public sector. Clients have included The City of Coral Gables, The Florida Department of Health through Oppenheim Research in Tallahassee, Leon Medical Centers, the Associated Press, and the University of Illinois, to name a few.
